TU - Adopt-A-Dorm Retreat
July 2024
Lodging - To be determined
Dining - Tompkins Hall Cafeteria
For anyone who missed our first retreat, here's a brief
description. Adopt-A-Dorm will no longer support Tuskegee
University through physical labor and repairs; We have aged out.
Our focus has now turned to financial support, In order to
determine the most immediate and effective use of our funds, we
held sessions with Tuskegee University representatives in a
presentation/question and answer format in order to determine the
best way we can continue to support Alma Mater financially. It gave
us direct insight as to the status, immediate needs, etc of our
University.
We'd like to know which departments you'd like to hear from. Last year we hosted Housing & Residence Life, Facilities, Student Affairs and many others. These departments have been invited again, but we need to know who else you'd like to hear from. Please let us know and we'll extend the invitation.
When was the last time you visited some of the historical sights on our
beautiful campus? Decades since you've toured the Oaks? Ever been to
the Legacy Museum? Most of the sites are by appointment only, so If
there's someplace you'd like to visit, just let us know and we'll try to
make it happen.
Please feel free to share this information with others who may be
interested, they're all welcome.
We will keep you updated via e-mail. Any questions or concerns, Please let us know.
History - The Tuskegee University Alumni Adopt-A-Dorm Program has operated for 30 years, since 1989. It provided services every July for the entire month.
The purpose of this Program was to assist the University with dormitory maintenance and any other projects that support student life or university needs. A primary driving force for the program is to support student recruitment and retention. The University and our dormitory program need continuous help through labor and monetary support.
